DECEMBER  25 is fast approaching. “Ol’ Saint Nick” is one man out of the past that we always see with a RED suit.  Was he a saint? If so, it is not because the Roman Catholics dubbed him so.  According to what I have read, in those days more than one man was named “Nicholas,” and even the Roman Catholics differ on which one was the real “St. Nick.”  But all that matters not.  December 25 is called the birthday of Jesus Christ of Nazareth by the Roman Catholics. That is false, to begin with. And the fact that “Ol’ St. Nick” has become the very personification of all that is  good, should tell you something.

The Lord Jesus was called “good master” by a certain young man, and the Lord rebuked him for it, telling him that NONE is good but God. So don’t call Jesus “good master” when you don’t recognize Him as God. I take it that was the lesson the Lord was teaching.  How many people today “get it”?

Around this time of the year, you can ask most any child who it is that stands for GOODNESS, and you are likely to get the answer, “Santa Claus.” This is another way of saying the  best-known symbol or personification of GOODNESS is that man with a red suit.

Does this not scare you just a bit—to see Santa trumping God—getting glory—that God Almighty only deserves?

No matter what benevolent deeds the original Nicholas did, he does not deserve to have the status of an IDOL. And that is just what Santa Claus is—an idol.  And don’t you realize that God hates idolatry and forbids giving  worshipful attention to false idols?

Now there is another character that is pictured falsely with a RED SUIT. This character is also normally pictured carrying a pitch-fork. Who might that be? Why it is supposedly Satan himself—the Devil. But he actually does not wear a red suit to identify him, nor does he carry a pitchfork. Nor is there are there flames of fire coming out of his mouth. Yes, he might even look like the OTHER character in a red suit—Santa Claus, the idol children over the  world are taught  to love.

When the Devil made his FIRST appearance on earth to seduce mankind, he was not wearing a RED SUIT or carrying a pitch-fork. He was in the form of a SERPENT and he tempted and seduced Eve to disobey God, lying to her about the meaning of God’s command NOT to eat of that one tree. Thus Adam and Eve fell into sin, and so DEATH entered the world. “The wages of SIN is death.”

So Satan, the Devil, is such a deceiver, that he is more likely to look like a “Santa Claus,” taking the place of God, than like artists picture Satan also with a red suit and a pitchfork, or breathing  fire.

Think about this: Little boys and girls are told that they better watch out for SANTA CLAUS knows when they have been good or bad. He can see ALL, and he also can be everywhere in the world at the same time. Now who is that—in reality? Only God Himself.  So does Santa Claus have  attributed to him the attributes that belong to God alone?  Is this not somehow making him to be in the place of God? You must know that is ONE characteristic of the antichrist—taking the place of Christ, pretending to have the attributes of omniscience (all-knowing) and omnipresence (everywhere present). BEING LIKE GOD in this respect, and thus getting worship for himself.  That was the aim and goal of Lucifer before he fell from heaven and became the devil. And that is  still his goal and agenda. He wants to be worshipped as God.

Study just a little bit of history, along with the Bible, and you should recognize that the Roman Catholic Church is a false church, a harlot church, an anti-christian organization that has slain such a large number of Christian martyrs that no man can number. You can even read what Catholic historians say and quote about their own popes, and you will begin to see the vast corruption of this body that claims to be the only place of true salvation.

And they are the ones that also gave us the so-called “Christmas” and the man-idol called Santa Claus.

How can a Christian give credence to this modern idol by furthering his fame, making this idol look like something to be desired and have the affection of multitudes poured upon him?

When parents teach their children that Santa is for REAL, they are teaching a lie. And sooner or later children learn that Santa is really just a fantasy character and a myth.

Two children were playing  together and discussing certain issues of life.  One of them brought up the idea of the existence of God. The other child who, too, had come to know that he had been lied to about Santa Claus, said to his playmate something like these words,  “Naw, there is no God; He is not real, just like Santa Claus.”

We are living in the LAST DAYS, “the last time.”  Many Christians argue about who the Antichrist might be, or when he might show up.  The  New Testament tells us that even  some 2,000 years ago there were “many anti-christs.”  And early Christians recognized that the Roman Catholic church and her pope were “anti-christs.”

So playing  with both or  either character with the RED SUITS is like playing with fire.  “Thou shalt have no other gods before Me.” (Exodus 20:3)

“. . . Our God is a consuming fire.” (Hebrews 12:29l

When this year December 25 rolls around, that is 12/25, then you would do well to think of Hebrews 12:29.

And when you think of that famous and TRUE verse of Scripture, John 3:16, think also of another “3:16,”—2 Timothy 3:16, which says—

“All scripture if given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine [teaching], for reproof, for instruction in righteousness.”

The  book of Proverbs lets us know that the  fool receives not reproof, and hates instruction.

 

“. . . For Thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God

by Thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue

and people, and nation.” (Revelation. 5:9)
